Dr. Haughey is a clinical psychologist with over 10 years of experience and specialized training in neuropsychology. Dr. Haughey has extensive experience diagnosing and treating children and adolescents with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), learning disabilities and various other psychological/behavioral conditions that impact daily functioning.
Dr. Haughey obtained his master’s degree in clinical/counseling psychology from Chestnut Hill College and his Psy.D. (Doctor of Psychology) from Immaculata University. During his doctorate training, Dr. Haughey completed assessment and counseling rotations at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, Mid-Atlantic Behavioral Health, Princeton House Behavioral Health, and Lenape Valley Foundation. Additionally, he was employed as a psychometrician by the Drexel Institute for Neuroscience and the Capital Health Institute for Neuroscience.
After receiving his doctorate degree, Dr. Haughey completed a clinical postdoctoral fellowship at NRS-Lifespan, a private practice in Tinton Falls, NJ, one of only thirteen sites in the nation accredited by the AABN (The Academy of the Board of Professional Neuropsychology). While his fellowship focused on pediatrics, he provided neuropsychological evaluations, counseling, cognitive rehabilitation therapy, and biofeedback to individuals with various neurological and psychiatric difficulties.
Since completing his fellowship, Dr. Haughey has been providing evaluations to children and adults in Delaware County, PA. He has provided diagnostic evaluations and treatment to hundreds of individuals across the lifespan referred for various neurological and psychological difficulties. His experiences with patients have made him appreciate and take into consideration unique personal circumstances and the relative impact they have on the person’s ability to navigate through life and overcome challenges along the way. Dr. Haughey is also trained and certified to administer the ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, 2 nd Edition), which is the “gold standard” in assisting in diagnosing Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Dr. Haughey currently resides in Warrington, PA, with his wife Gina, a Special Education Teacher in Montgomery County, and two beautiful children.
